Quirks/Preferences: Kurt doesn't really have any preferences in regards to Pokemon Types. He is from the Johto region and knows more about those species, but isn't opposed to Pokemon from other regions. He loves food and always nicknames his Pokemon after food.
Description: Always being on the move, Kurt has an athletic build, being on the tall side with lean muscles. He tends to dress very comfortably, usually in shorts and t-shirts, sometimes even in Winter if he feels daring enough. From his travels and being outdoors, Kurt's a bit tanned and his brown hair has some lighter streaks from the sun. His eyes are simply blue.
Personality: Energetic and eccentric, Kurt is like a big kid. Almost always smiling and laughing, Kurt is the best person to go to when one needs to be cheered up. He is fairly adventurous, but does not take too big of risks if he's with others; he would much rather make sure everyone else stay safe. He's a very social creature, and loves hanging around with the other caretakers and all the Pokemon on the ranch.
Brief History: If you ask Kurt, his history is very boring. He's an only child, born to two normal parents in New Bark Town of the Johto region. Both of his parents were fairly average trainers in their days, yet not too ambitious. His mother had gotten five badges with her team of Pokemon, yet when she had lost three battles to the sixth gym leader, she returned home, content with her team and position in the world of Pokemon trainers. His father only got two badges, yet three contest ribbons before going home for a break. Mr. Emerson always told Kurt that he meant to start training again, but then Mr. Emerson had met Kurt's mother, and stayed in New Bark Town with her. Kurt was raised with both of his parents and their Pokemon around, carving out his love of the creatures.
With the good Professor Elm's help, Kurt got his first Pokemon, a Phanpy, and started off on his journey at the age of 15. He quickly joined up with another fledgling trainer by the name of Keagan, an aspiring coordinator, and the pair traveled the region together. Kurt was ambitious enough to get farther in the gym challenge than both of his parents. He made it to the Johto Elite Four, but lost in the second challenge. Rather than try to compete again, Kurt took his team of Pokemon and wandered around the other regions for a while. Eventually he started looking for a place to settle down and found the ranch run the sisters Kris and Sapphire. He applied to work with them and, even though he's still fairly new to the place, is enjoying his new life there.
